Hey there! My name is Brad Hird. I’ve always had a passion for carpentry—especially framing—and started pursuing it seriously in the later part of 2018. After completing my Bachelor’s degree in 2021, I finally had the chance to fully dedicate myself to the craft I love. Now that I’m able to live my dream, let me tell you why I started Fractal Designs.

When I started this hobby I quickly realized how expensive everything was. I was buying 16" table legs, uncoated for $200+ a set, and then sanding and painting them. Or resin for $33 a liter, crazy! This is when I set out with the new goal of not only providing high-quality woodwork but to provide high-quality, affordable DIY supplies. Every product I sell, I use daily. We do extensive product testing before we bring in a product, and stand behind them all.

On top of buying quality supplies, you can be assured that all money goes towards supporting a young Canadian-owned business, and I truly can't thank you enough for your support. This isn't a large company where we don't care. Customer service is the most important aspect of our business, and we do our best to ensure every transaction is beneficial for all parties.
