How We Started
Fractal Designs began in 2018 with just Brad, working alone out of his dad’s single-car garage. It started as a side project driven by a love of woodworking—and some serious sticker shock at the cost of basic supplies. Quality table legs, finishes, and tools were either overpriced or hard to find in Canada.
That frustration became motivation. One small project turned into another, and before long, Brad’s solo garage setup became a growing workshop with a full team of makers. Today, we’re proud to offer both custom handmade furniture and trusted supplies for other woodworkers across Canada.
A Small Canadian Shop, Doing It All In House
Fractal Designs selects only the finest materials for our custom tables, emphasizing the quality and character of the wood. We carefully select all of our wood from local, ethically sourcing mills, ensuring the highest quality of materials are being used. Special attention is paid to the selection of specific cuts to ensure grain matching and aesthetic harmony. These materials are chosen not just for their appearance but also for their ability to stand the test of time, reflecting Fractal Designs' commitment to quality and sustainability
