We are generally 8-10 weeks to turn around a custom table top. This timeframe sometimes goes both ways, we will contact you if the timeframe isn't accurate.

We will contact you as soon as we have a delivery date in mind. We are a small business so we try to bunch our deliveries on certain days to provide the best service possible, and deliver them ourselves when possible. We are generally 8-10 weeks to produce and 2 additional weeks to find a date that works.

Most furniture stores are buying their tables from a maker like us- marking them up and then selling them to you. We are the maker. We do everything in house and each piece we make is touched by our full team at some point. You are essentially cutting out the middle man.

We use hardwax oils to finish our pieces unless otherwise asked. We can spray finish at a customer request in the same sheens listed. Hardwax oils are popular do to their ease of use, natural look and feel and future repairability. You do however trade off some durability vs a typical spray finish. Your finish is as hard as your wood essentially. The major trade back on this is the repairability factor. A hardwax oiled table can be re-finished by anyone with a sander in a couple of hours. Where as a poly or lacquer, are extremely hard to blend and generally require sanding back down to the wood. We generally tell people to use your table well, don't sweat the little things, and having your table refinished years down the line is no biggie. That doesn't mean the hardwax oils aren't durable- its just a huge pro of using them.

Buying a table from us is different then a store. We build every piece ourselves. We handle any defects at a shop level where most stores just cant offer that. We built this business on the premise of affordability- with our supplies. We are now doing the same with our woodworking. We are extremely competitively priced. We use all solid hardwoods and quality legs. All tables come channeled and are made in house. If you found a cheaper table, I would head caution. Is it hardwood? Is the company known? You can for sure get a cheaper MDF core wood veneer table. We don't provide that here, nor do we want to. We are here to build heirloom pieces that will always be valuable. Buying a hardwood table always retains value, even if it gets used and abused, you have a massive chunk of hardwood that can be refinished and used again. You can't do that with cheap veneer furniture.

Each piece of furniture we produce undergoes a rigorous quality control process prior to leaving our workshop, and we strive to deliver a flawless product every time. Because we work with natural hardwood, no two pieces we build are ever the same. Variations in grain, knots, and other natural features are an inherent part of working with solid wood and are not considered defects. Aging, wood movement (expansion and contraction), and variations in grain or color are expected and reflect the organic nature of the material. These characteristics are not considered manufacturing defects and are therefore not grounds for refunds, replacements, or cancellations. Cracks that may develop over time—whether in the wood or in epoxy—are a natural result of environmental changes and the wood's responsiveness to humidity and temperature. These are not considered defects, and any costs associated with repairs will be the responsibility of the customer. Due to the nature of solid wood, doors, drawers, extensions, and other attached elements may not always be perfectly flush or aligned. Minor shifts can occur as the wood responds to its surrounding environment, and while our team is highly skilled, these small inconsistencies are normal and unavoidable. Table extensions are designed for occasional use and should not be stored in the table for extended periods. Because the grain direction in extensions typically runs perpendicular to the tabletop, they may expand and contract at different rates, which can lead to slight mismatches in height or width. These changes, along with seasonal humidity shifts, are a natural consequence of working with real wood and are not considered defects. Color variation is also expected when staining solid wood. Each board may absorb stain differently, resulting in a natural range of tone across a piece or set. This is not a flaw, but part of what makes each piece unique. While we do our best to balance these variations, complete uniformity cannot be guaranteed. Any decision to alter or remake a piece based on color variation will be at the sole discretion of Fractal Designs Inc management. To ensure peace of mind, Fractal Designs Inc offers a one-year limited warranty on our furniture, which covers manufacturing defects only. Natural characteristics of wood, climate-induced movement, color variation, and wear from use are not covered under this warranty.
